The AISA language courses are aimed at foreign nationals older than 16 years of age, resident in the Basque Country, who have had no previous contact with the Basque language and would like to start learning our language.>
The price of these courses is 10 Euros. At the end of the course, this sum will be returned to those who have completed the course. They will also receive a diploma and a basic dictionary complied by AISA with words in Basque, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Catalan, Galician and Arabic.>
The courses are 60 hours long (6 hours a week over 3 days). In order to improve the students' knowledge of Basque society the folowing topics among others are taught: greetings, numbers, the family, school, transport, health, sport or shopping. Teaching will focus mainly on vocabulary as well as basic comprehension of the language (sign posting, signs).>
Registration for the October - December course takes place during the month of September at the Basque Department of Durango Town Hall, and at Berbaro Elkartea.>
Registration is open for the whole year with a minimum of 10 people per group.>
