Drug Addicton Prevention Service
The Durango Local Area Association Drug Addicton Prevention Service offers:
- Prevention programmes in:
- schools: we work in collaboration with all the schools in the Local Area by holding prevention workshops for tobacco, alcohol, cannabis and other illegal drugs. We also work on topics related to values and sexuality.
- Parents: we hold talks and seminars for parents in areas related to values, education and drug addiction.
- At a community level: we carry out preventitive breathalysing during local fiestas, we celebrate International No Smoking Day,we collaborate with various entities and associations in the Local Area for for carrying out different prevention programmes…
- Courses on how to give up smoking: one or two courses will be held a year according to demand.
- Courses on anxiety management for women: organised every two years in conjunction with the health centres in the Local Area.
- Personalised attention over the telephone:
- Information on drugs for all who need it.
- Guidance on treatment centres
- Attention for people with adiction problems or relatives suffering from addiction. If a personal consultation is required, a previous appointment may be made by telephone.
